Biography CV
I run a training and project management consultancy alongside my gardening and garden design business, the growing company.
I joined the NHS in 1993 as a health promotion specialist and developed my training and project management experience in the context of community development and partnership working. In 1995, I teamed up with Peter Scott, a London-based project manager, to develop project management training materials aimed specifically at developing successful campaigns and projects with hard-to-reach and seldom-heard groups.
A key element of the training is a unique Project Planning workbook aimed specifically at entry level project managers and staff who work in project-based organisations. I have developed the content of this tool over 18 years.
I also deliver training and support on a range of project management related topics, including team building, time management and conflict resolution / communication skills and am currently developing a new training course called The Business Gardener.
I often bring my experiences and insights from the horticultural world into my training work. In fact, I usually design my courses and workshops whilst gardening!
